The Marm debate about the new Community rules in the field of animal nutrition

During a meeting to finals of June, the Marm debated with the sector the new community rule in matter of animal feeding. The general deputy director of Conservation of Resources and Animal Feeding of the ministry of Environingingment and Half Rural and Marino, Isabel García Sanz, meeting with the representative associations of the industry of the animal feeding and of the primary sector to tackle the novelties that give off of the new Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Commercialisation and utilisation of the piensos.

In concrete, tackled , in the first place, the measures of application and transitory linked to said Regulation. Like this, it presented the Spanish position on the proposal of modification of the catalogue of raw materials for piensos. The ministry believes necessary to analyse, in depth, the chapters that include the raw materials of animal origin and the minerals, in function of criteria established for a suitable classification of the substances for animal feeding.

Later, made public a summary of the activities of the network of alert for piensos in the year 2009, as well as of the last notifications related with the sector of the animal feeding that have communicated through the system RASFF (Network of alert for foods and piensos) and of the performances carried out.
