The Ministry of environment, and medium Rural and Marine Affairs (Marm) has tendered, through the General direction of the water, the recruitment for the elaboration of the project and execution of works of preliminary and for elaboration of draft environmental impact study and execution of works of the wastewater treatment of waste water (WWTP) of Gijón, in Asturias. The budget for this action amounts to 52.206.346 euros. The works planned for the construction of the WWTP, which will solve purification discharges of about 150 000 inhabitants equivalent, are essentially as follows:
-Work of arrival: is wide the existing pumping of arrival of gross water of 6 m3/s to 8 m3/s.
-Pretreatment: projected buried accommodating up to 8 m3/s.
-Prior to biological treatment intermediate pumping.
-Secondary treatment: projected a biological treatment of average load followed by rectangular decanters for a capacity of 45,000 m3/day.
-Tertiary treatment for a wealth of 2,500 m3/day, using mesh filter, membranes of ultra filtration and disinfection with ultraviolet rays.
-Pumping emissary.
-Pumping of sludge in excess to the WWTP of La Reguerona.
-Discharge of sludge in excess through double pipes of polyethylene of 200 mm in outside diameter and 9.2 km in length.
-Installation of control, maintenance and visits, contemplating the construction of two buildings.
Mud line located next to the facilities of the WWTP of La Reguerona, which is composed of the following elements:
-Deposit receipt of sludge.
-Thickening of sludge pumped from the premises of the Piso
-Pumping to digestion: are two pumps, one for the thickened sludge from La Reguerona and another for those coming from the Piso.
-Anaerobic digestion mesófila of a stage, through two digesters.
-Dehydration: expand the facilities in the Reguerota through centrifugal.
-Thermal drying: provides an extra line of features similar to that existing in the Reguerona. Urbanization, finishes, and a new access from the area that, as a continuation of the existing access to the Museum of the people of Asturias.
