Satisfactory results of the course 'Coach leader' of the MARM, for the agri-food sector

During the year 2009, the Ministry of environment and medium Rural and Marine Affairs (Marm) opted for a training programme based on techniques of executive coaching for professional development for managers of enterprises of the agro-food sector. By way of balance, José María Heredia Yzquierdo, socio-directivo of the selected company ICE Coaching Executive, said: "this pilot course participants got 24% average growth in the development of his style of leadership, a much higher magnification percentage generally in such programmes". The objective of this pilot course of 'Leader Coach' was approaching executive coaching, tool for the development of people, the agri-food sector. In the view of Heredia Yzquierdo, the result of the program of coaching in 2009 was "outstanding", as 100% of the companies represented by its directors put in place new initiatives that were qualitative and quantitative impact in their organizations. For example, the creation of new lines of business to national and international level, initiatives in the area of organic food and, at the organizational level, the creation of new task forces and steering committees. The pilot course of the year 2009, for four months, was driven by the Directorate-General for industry and food markets, within the high training programme for managers of enterprises of the food chain of the Marm. The course was aimed at managers of family companies, cooperative societies, interprofessional associations and SME, belonging to the agri-food sector.
