Agreement between the URV and Irta to create PhD fellowships in aquaculture and aquatic ecosystems

The University of Rovira and Virgili (URV) and the Institute of research and agro-food technology (Irta) have signed a specific agreement for institutional collaboration for the co-financing of Irta - URV PhD fellowships. Both entities will work together to create a joint programme of master's and doctoral studies in the field of aquaculture and aquatic ecosystems, to be held at the URV. This agreement will be developed in three areas. The first will cover the creation of a co-funded programme of scholarships for training of doctors. The purpose of these grants will facilitate the realization of the master, followed by research work for the doctoral thesis by the interests of both signatories. The second, will be the progressive incorporation from the academic year 2009-2010 of the researchers of the Irta in aquaculture and Aacuáticos ecosystems as teachers and/or directors of research in these programmes. The third will be the creation of a specific master's and/or doctorate program in aquaculture and aquatic ecosystems that the URV will offer on the campus of the lands of the Ebro (Tortosa) from the academic year 2010-2011, with the experience of the investigators of the Irta.
