Livestock dairy of Coag manifest, once again, the problems of the sector in Luxembourg

With reason of the celebration of the Council of Ministers of the European Union, graziers of the dairy sector of the Coordinator of Organisations of Agriculturalists and Graziers (Coag) participate in the demonstration summoned for today by the Emb and the European Coordinator Via Peasant in Luxembourg. In group, dairy producers of Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, Castile and Leon and the Basque Country, led by the Cantabrian grazier, Charo Arredondo, responsible of dairy production of the state Executive Commission of Coag, will demand a public control of the offer and an adjust of the production to the consumption that ensure some worthy prices in the field. Arredondo Has reported the situation that experience the producers of milk: “With a price perceived from among 0,22 and 0,24 by litre this activity is not viable”. Besides, it has criticised the fault of answer by part of the European Commission and the Ministers of the EU. “It is indispensable to underline that the governments have to  recover the capacity to develop agricultural and alimentary politics that bet by a model of social agriculture that guarantee foods in quality and sufficient quantity to the European consumers. An industrial agriculture agro exporting does not guarantee the feeding and besides is, and will be, broth of crop for new alimentary crises”, has declared  the representative of Coag.

The demonstration of today is the second this month in front of the Council of Ministers of the EU to protest by the problems of the dairy sector. The past day 5, thousands of graziers manifested in Brussels in front of the Council of the EU after the last strike of deliveries of milk by part of producers of eight countries during 14 days.
