Innovative photovoltaic installation for the Equinox CC in Majadahonda

Centre commercial Equinox of Majadahonda, Madrid, has few months an innovative photovoltaic installation. This facility, an investment of Unibail-Rodamco Spain, is a peak of power 97,92 kilowatts, and the new technology called 'Solar cover' of Solar Integrated Technologies (SIT) has been used. The photovoltaic plant of the Centre commercial Equinox is distinguished by SIT technology: is the first facility in the community of Madrid of this technology, and one of the first of Spain. It is quite common that some types of materials for waterproofing roofs degrade with the passage of time and start to have moisture problems. A solution that offers the guarantee of leakproofness for 20 years and the photovoltaic generation. It is the first installation of this technology in the community of Madrid.

The photovoltaic solution of SIT which installed OpciónDos in Equinox is composed of a first layer of the polymer Sika Sarnafil, a leading technology around the world with regard to watertight decks and is one of the best watertight deck on the market today. Later, settled 180 SIT modules, each of 544 Watts. The setting is done through a termosoldadura, which is controlled by a specialized robot to ensure a high-precision setting.

System consists of supply and placement of flexible polyolefins FPO Sarnafil TS 77-18 blade quality weather beige, manufactured in basis Propylene - ethylene catalyzed into a polymer of latest, 1.8 mm thickness with a fiber of glass and polyester fabric, with great resistance to microorganisms and the drilling of roots.
