Since last July and until January 15, the registration period of the contest featured machines which will take place in 2009 Cimag IV is open, international contest of machinery gives fodder, which takes place from 22 to 25 January at the new Feira international de Galicia. In the last edition, the competition had the participation of 38 products that were awarded 12. It is aimed at rewarding the exposed machinery of newly manufactured that stand out for their advances in design, performance and quality of the teamwork that made the same agricultural process; as well as their special suitability for forage production: agricultural modality characteristic of Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, Castile and León, Spain, and the North of Portugal.

Cimag, co-organized by the Green Week Foundation of Galicia and Ansemat (National Association of agricultural machinery, forestry and green spaces), will also include other activities such as technical conferences devoted to "Security in the management of agricultural machinery", "The tractor in Galicia in the twenty-first century" and "The politics of government aid to the agricultural mechanization". It is to overcome the figures of the previous edition, which included 270 exhibiting companies from 28 countries who filled 23,000 square meters of the two main halls of the enclosure, which were visited by 23.627 people.
