Smopyc 2008 increases to 250,000 m2 total surface area

The 14th edition of Smopyc will be 250,000 square meters of exhibition area, distributed in 11 pavilions, a demo area and an outdoor area. Pavilions 1, 2, 11 and part of the 4 will host companies manufacturers and distributors of machines and auxiliary equipment for the construction, lifting and materials handling, and the Pavilion 10 will bring together companies engaged in components, spare parts, accessories and services. The companies with the movement of land and roads, lifting and materials handling equipment will be located in halls 5, 6 and 7, while the focus on commercial vehicles and transport, will do so in Hall 8. Part of this last Pavilion, along with half of the 4 and 3 in its entirety will accommodate companies involved aggregates and concrete. Finally, dedicated to the drilling products and machinery are housed in Hall 9. Smopyc 2008 will also feature an outdoor area, for large teams, and with an area of demonstrations.

In previous editions of the fair Bauma and Samoter, he participated a delegation of Smopyc to present internationally which, undoubtedly, is the fair of the sector of public works in Spain. Smopyc space at both fairs served as an element of promotion and as a meeting point for associations, displays, manufacturers, professional visitors and technical press.

The international promotion and presence in the halls of more weight globally is one of the main axes of the Ag2r fair trade policy, providing "great potential for expansion and business, as well as a greater increase in obtaining business contacts". It serves, says fair, tool for opening up new markets and as a "first order diffuser element" image acquired by the lounge in the international environment, in order to ensure that the 2008 Edition is a genuine world reference.

On 19 February the jury of awards for technological innovation of Smopyc 2008, presided over by Juan Antonio wall Murillo, unveiled the winners of the contest in three categories: new developments of machinery, equipment newsComponents and auxiliary means, and application services to the Contructora activity.

The award of gold in the category new developments of machinery fell on the platform of transport for formwork systems, presented by Saltec construction equipment, while the silver award went to Lebrero Economizer project, and the bronze to Hinowa his self-filling minidumper HS400 Battery crawler.

In the category news of equipment, components and auxiliary means, Capotex 2000 received the Gold Award for your downspout to arid Caposhark. The Silver went to Encofrados j. Alsina by its mainstay being A3, and the systems of protection Garben bronze by its multifunctional anchoring device.

Finally, the jury of awards granted the award of gold to the new method for the determination of transmission of loads between floors during the construction process (programme Descim), submitted by Ulma C. and E. Eagle Diawerk company won the Silver Award for its diamond orderly placed with original technology (appointee). In this edition of the awards, the Bronze award was not awarded.

In 2005, the previous edition of Smopyc, covered a total 200,000 square meters of total area and 115.430 of net surface, of which 75.945 were to surface in pavilions (65,8%), 35.109 to the outdoor area and 4.376 square metres area of demonstrations. A total of 743 Spanish and 1,085 international 1,828 companies presented their news on this scenario. In addition, Smopyc 2005 was visited by 82.427 people, of which 76.251 were Spanish and the rest, 6.176, from other countries.
