BASF Initiates an important experience with agriculturalists of Cuenca and Albacete in the crops of garlic and onion

The past 11 March BASF launched, between others, an important solution fungicida for horticultural crops, Cabrio DUO EC, in the market of Castile-La Mancha. To follow promoting and boosting the good and effective use of the product, of face to the next months BASF goes to realizar several essays with Cabrio DUO EC (dimetomorf and piraclostrobin) directly in the plots of the agriculturalists that have accepted to participate in this experience.

Besides, these essays will realizar having the participation of the distributors BASF of the zone and with the technical follow-up of two experts of the University of Castile-La Mancha (UCLM), like independent organism, that will be the attendants to supervise the essays in the exploitations chosen and can like this advise to the agriculturalist in the application of the product during all the campaign, taking into account the specific conditions of his exploitation.m Cabrio DUO EC Is a fungicida especially effective in the crops of garlic, onion and cucurbitáceas (among others), that favours a better quality of the fruit and his best and longer conservation.

Has foreseen realizar the essays from the month of May to the month of July, for which will have the participation of 4 distributors of the products of BASF in the zone and some 10 agriculturalists of the municipal terms of The Pedroñeras (Cuenca), The Roda (Albacete) and Villarobledo (Albacete), that will be those that put in practice the horticultural experience in his exploitations.

The agriculturalists selected have fulfilled a series of fundamental requirements to be able to participate in the essay: have not used the product to testar, Cabrio DUO EC, have of an exploitation of quality, be engaged to test a new product assuming the efforts associated to the essays that will do and be had to share his experience and work with the other agriculturalists for the promotion of agricultural practices more efficient and effective in the zone. The agriculturalist will realizar the proof in his exploitation, on the one hand, testing the distinguished product and, by another, will realizar standard treatments with other available products in the market against the corresponding illnesses, to see his efficiency in distinct moments of the crop and his incidence in the final production and in the quality of the harvest.

The technical follow-up of the applications of the product in field that will realizar the two scientific/experts of the UCLM will consist in the realisation of visits to each one of the producers in distinct moments of the state fenológico of the crop, where will realizar analysis of the evolution of the crop, of previous and back form to the application of the product. For this, will keep the same calendar for the two products, garlic and onion: pre-application (April), during the cycle (May/June) and end of cycle (July). In said visits, in addition to carrying out the corresponding proofs, the experts will obtain photographies that will complete the study.

The profits will be very miscellaneous for the agriculturalists participants with these so characteristic crops, for which Cabrio DUO EC can suppose a value added. It treats to realizar a near experiment, in which they will be accompanied by experts that will realizar a personalised advice on the conditions of his finca and of his crop, knowing at all times how evolve the illnesses that develop, valuing factors like the climatic conditions, and how answer to the treatments.
