Fruit day of summer on production of Apple in the carved D'emporda (Girona)

On next September 4 will be held, at the agricultural Experimental Station of Mas Badia (La carved d' Empordà, Girona), the fruit Summer Conference, organised by Irta, of the Agriculture Department of the Generalitat of Catalonia. The day will try different topics of interest to growers from Apple and will be doing a tour of different seasons.
In a first season you will see new selections of Gala that are coming and which provide a significant improvement with respect to the colour of fruits with respect to varieties that were recommended so far, as well as other varieties of this time. A second season will present a vision of where you need to go the fruit-growing in the coming years, thinking about mechanization as a fundamental tool for cost reduction. The third season will focus on new tools for the management of irrigation and will consider how to improve the efficient use of water. In the fourth season will discuss solutions to control the new plague Pseudococcus viburni Manzano.
