Syngenta Organised for Codorníu a course of calibración to the that assisted near of 100 viticultores
28 June 2013
The course began with a presentation in the living room of acts of dig them of Codorníu in Sant Sadurní of d'Anoia. Germán Canomanuel, of the department of Corporate Subjects of Syngenta, presented the company and his strong bet by the R&D (2 million euros of investment to the day all over the world) and by the sustainability, with a wide offer of actions llevar in the last years like Operation Pollinator, the system Heliosec, the support to the Agriculture of Conservation, etc. In this sense, from Syngenta has clear that the ‘Agricultural Best practices' and the continuous learning of the agriculturalist are the keys of future.
Going in in the theoretical part of the course, Germán Canomanuel explained the most important points of the new Directive of Sustainable Use, that in Spain has moved through two royal decrees (RD of Sustainable Uses of Phytosanitary ware Products and RD of inspection of Phytosanitary ware Equipment) that will carry to effect by means of a National Plan of Action. Between the most important changes that brings this Plan of Action is that all the involved in the use of phytosanitary ware (loaderss, almacenistas, technicians, agriculturalists, etc.) will have to have the Carnet of Aplicador (qualified or basic, depending on the activity).

After the introduction to all this new legislation, arrived the turn of the team of Emilio Gil, of the Department of Engineering Agroalimentaria and Biotechnology of the Polytechnical University of Catalonia, responsible to give the theorist and the practice of the calibración of the phytosanitary ware equipment. The professor Emilio Gil spoke of the key elements of the calibración (filters, manometer, speed of application, steering and pressesure of the air) and put of relief the good and bad practices to the hour to treat with phytosanitary ware.
Of the theory happened to the practical part on the terrain to learn to calibrate properly the equipment pulverizadores, to use the disks callipers, to know choose some filters or others depending on the parameters of application and to choose these parameters as they are the speed, the pressesure of application, the air to the hour to apply, etc. In this case tested three equipment of the own viticultores participants: it realised first an application as they were calibrated and a second application calibrated of correct form (with the active participation of all the assistants), being able to check that, with a lot of less quantity of product can do a better application and avoid derive and unnecessary losses.
